Seeing through the Matrix of JavaScript MV* Frameworks

I recently visited the JavaScript meetup in Southeast Michigan (met some great people) and gave a talk on AngularJS, Backbone, and Ember. They were nice enough to get video of the presentation so I wanted to share it. Please up-vote the video if you like it. Thanks!

Learning your first programming language takes awhile. Your second is much faster and eventually you pick up new languages really quickly because you see through the matrix and realize they each have similar constructs like variables, loops, operators and keywords.

This talk will help you see through the matrix of JavaScript MV* Frameworks by breaking down their common constructs including routing, data binding, templates/views, models, data access, and web components.

We’ll see and work together on code examples from AngularJS, Backbone, and Ember for each of these constructs.

If you watch this and really like it then you should probably consider picking up a copy of my book the JavaScript Framework Guide.

If you are involved in a conference and would like me to give this talk send me an email through my contact page.
